Privacy Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026 · Applies to: Balbal 1.0
Balbal is a mobile game developed by Barış Dede. This page explains what data is processed when you play, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version: Balbal has no accounts. We do not ask for or collect your name, email, phone number or any similar identifier. The data that is processed is the technical minimum needed to serve ads, keep the game from crashing, and stop your progress from disappearing.
1. Who we are
| Controller | Barış Dede |

| Contact | baris@barisdede.com |
| App | Balbal (com.barisdede.balbal) |
2. What we do not collect
Worth stating plainly. Balbal does not ask for or collect:
- Name, email address, phone number
- User accounts, passwords, social media connections
- Contacts, photos, microphone, camera, location
- Payment card details — subscription payments run entirely through Apple and Google; your card details never reach us
3. What is processed, and why
| Data | Why | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Game progress: unlocked level, stars, helper counts, your settings | So the game resumes where you left off | On your device. Backed up through Google Play Games or Apple Game Center so it survives a device change. |
| Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA) | To serve ads and avoid showing you the same one repeatedly | With ad providers. If you decline, you still see ads, just not personalised ones. |
| Device information: model, OS version, language, country, screen size | So the game runs correctly on your device, and for debugging | With analytics and crash reporting providers |
| Crash reports | To find and fix what made the game crash | Google Crashlytics |
| In-game events: how long you spent on a level, which helper you used, which ad you watched | To tell whether levels are too hard or too easy | Google Firebase Analytics |
| Subscription status (active or not) | To switch ads off if you have the ad-free subscription | RevenueCat and the store. Contains no payment details. |
None of this identifies you by name. Identifiers such as the advertising ID belong to the device and can be reset in your device settings.
4. Who we share with
We do not sell data. The providers below do the work needed for the game to function and are bound by their own privacy policies:
| Provider | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob / Google Play | Ads, distribution, payments | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics) | Analytics and crash reporting | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| AppLovin (MAX mediation) | Ad mediation | applovin.com/privacy |
| Unity Technologies | Game engine and ads | unity.com/legal |
| RevenueCat | Subscription validation | revenuecat.com/privacy |
| Apple | Distribution, payments, Game Center | apple.com/legal/privacy |
5. Ads and your choices
Balbal is free and supported by ads. Ads appear in three places: an occasional full-screen ad when a level ends, a banner at the bottom of the home screen, and rewarded videos that you choose to watch. No ad is ever shown on the board screen.
- iOS: you are asked for tracking permission on first launch. If you decline, you still see ads but they are not personalised. You can change your mind at any time under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Android: you can reset your advertising ID or turn off personalisation under Settings › Google › Ads.
- EU and UK: a consent screen is shown on first launch. You can withdraw consent at any time from the in-game settings.
- Removing ads entirely: the in-game Ad-free subscription switches ads off completely. While it is active, no request is sent to any ad provider.
6. Children
Balbal is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it. If you are a parent and believe this has happened, write to baris@barisdede.com.
7. How long we keep data
- Your progress: until you delete the game. Uninstalling removes the on-device copy; you can remove the platform backup from your Google Play Games or Game Center account.
- Analytics and crash data: Firebase's default retention period of 14 months.
- Subscription records: as long as legal and accounting obligations require.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access the data processed about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing, and to receive a copy. These rights come from the GDPR in the European Union, the CCPA/CPRA in California, and Law No. 6698 (KVKK), Article 11 in Türkiye.
To make a request, write to baris@barisdede.com. You will get a reply within 30 days.
Because there are no accounts, the only thing that can link a request to data is your device identifier. Telling us which device you used will speed things up.
9. International transfers
The providers above run servers outside Türkiye, mostly in the European Union and the United States. Transfers happen under those providers' standard contractual clauses and their own compliance programmes.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the date on this page is updated. Meaningful changes are announced inside the game.
